"Paperclips" VERSION 1
Title: Paperclip Ad/ I really dunno!

Oh, the glory of a paperclip!
They’re full of so much potential and usefulness!
It’s just the right office supply to hold all your things together,
And its simplistic design makes them easy to use!
Just clip to multiple sheets of paper and presto!
They hold all of your loose papers together with ease.
That’s right! -no need to worry about your papers scattering anymore!
Yet their design also makes them easy to detach when necessary
Moreover, they’re extremely durable for you to use again and again!
But wait- you can also bend them, stretch them, mold them…
Why, you can shape them into whatever your liking!
This revolutionary product dates all the way back to the late 1800’s,
Making thousands of office workers happy for over a century!
And their affordability continues to make them a beloved favorite.
Plus they come in a variety of sizes to satisfy all your needs.
Made from steel or plastic, they are extremely sturdy,
And now they come in a pack of assorted colors!
They’re also light and very resilient, oh but don’t worry;
With up to 500 per pack, they are also easily replaceable!
You heard it! So in case something should happen,
Paperclips are exceptionally disposable!

NOTE: I think that helps to kinda gather prospective. I even did a little shout out for you/us- just for old times sake! Anyway! Here's the final (think kinda... umm, oh! Like the opening title sequence in Monty Python almost):

"Paperclips" VERSION 2: Final
Paperclip Ad

Oh, the glory of a paperclip!
(That’s what I am, so I say)

They’re full of so much potential and usefulness!
(It’s really a great life- And you get wonderful benefits)

It’s just the right office supply to hold all your things together,
(If you’re interested I can send you a brochure!)

And its simplistic design makes them easy to use!
(Sorry, but if you’re gold or aluminum, you need not apply)

Just clip to multiple sheets of paper and presto!
(Yummy, paper! I could just hold onto this all year!)

They hold all of your loose papers together with ease.
(“With ease”? My how they flatter me sometimes)

That’s right! -no need to worry about your papers scattering anymore!
(That must be because of how awesome I am. A-w-e-s-o-m-e!!)

Yet their design also makes them easy to detach when necessary
(Ha ha! Did you hear that? Beat THAT Stapler!)

Moreover, they’re extremely durable for you to use again and again!
(I once went out with a stapler. Ugh! So high maintenance though.)

But wait- you can also bend them, stretch them, mold them…
(That’s right! Why, I once unlocked handcuffs!)

Why, you can shape them into whatever your liking!
(…I don’t think I was supposed to do that come to think of it)

This revolutionary product dates all the way back to the late 1800’s,
(Hey that’s true! My daddy is the Gem Manufacturing Company)

Making thousands of office workers happy for over a century!
(Wait, then that must make me British too! Pip pip, cheerio!)

And their affordability continues to make them a beloved favorite.
(I also have a Norwegian cousin, but he was never as popular as me)

Plus they come in a variety of sizes to satisfy all your needs.
(But don’t make fun of the 3 inch model. They’re just “big-wired”)

Made from steel or plastic, they are extremely sturdy,
(Yeah, and I don’t prick like thumbnails or leave nasty ink marks on you)

And now they come in a pack of assorted colors!
(Wow, I’m almost as versatile as Post-its!)

They’re also light and very resilient, oh but don’t worry;
(…but I’m older and smarter- I TOTALLY could’ve invented Post-its)

With up to 500 per pack, they are also easily replaceable!
(Oh sure, I’m just metal to you now! Wait, where are you taking me?)

You heard it! So in case something should happen,
(I lived longer than your last three relationships I’ll have you know!)

Paperclips are exceptionally disposable!
(Hey wait! No! You can’t do this to me! I’m an all powerful paperclip and I- )

Ok, I think I have it. I may want to tweak it and some Paperclip lines I thought it would have been great to get your input or change, but oh well. I meant to call you this weekend to see about starting up our community. I was trying to think of a cool name for it like.... Poem Productiveness Inc or Project Poems or something nifty and creative but slightly professional even.
But ok! Topic being Paperclips! I don't really have a good title for it so I just slapped down anything. BUT. The reason why this one took SOOOOO long to compile, was because I had to work it in sections. Plus, I even did research. So when I went to type it out, I had to make sure I had one part solid enough before I could make up the rest of the dialogue. I'll show you, this is first part:

(Inserted both versions of the Project Poem topics)

So there you have it!

Your next assignment shall be about or include.....

A fountain! (Poki's previous owner made her a home-made submersed water pump in a huge tuberware of water to help circulate water flow since she's a picky cat and I can hear it tinkle right next to me) I think that has great potential for some thing sweet or poetic or sad or maybe very myyyystical! ;-)

Anyway, if you're busy then maybe I can get online tomorrow and we can discuss what to do about our online poem thing! Yay!

That's okay. I was running around all weekend, anyway, and I think my phone was out of battery for most of the time.

I googled "Project Poem" and nothing came up with the words in exactly that order. I loooove this idea, and think we should go with it. <^~> Next step is figuring out the format. A blog, like on LJ? Or we could do a blogger blog.

Hehehe, your poem made me giggle. And thank you SOOOOO much for not mixing up "loose" and "lose." I see that so many times and it pisses me off.

I can only think of one thing to suggest, and that might be to make the paper clip get angrier sooner, like a building rage. Then we can see the change slowly.

I'm going to have to think about the fountains bit, a bit. It's sort of funny, since "Fountains" is the name of my crit group that's imploding at the moment. Another woman and I are starting our own, but it's mostly hers, since she's doing all the work. I'm mostly a sounding board. <^u^>

I'll get back to you on it!
